Charles Nguyen
Charles Nguyen aka Charlie is a creative artist from the Kinjaz. He was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. He started dancing in high school in Garden Grove, CA for pep rally competitions. In high school, he began practicing the dance style of Popping and Animation. After high school, he began his dance journey with Poreotics, where he is a founding member. During his collegiate years, he spent two years as a member of Pac Modern Dance Troupe from Cal State Long Beach. Poreotics then competed on America’s Best Dance Crew: Season 5 and were crowned champions in 2010.

After the show, he began his career in performance, choreography, and creative directing. He joined the Kinjaz in 2013. In 2016, Charles was the Artistic Director of Culture Shock LA for two years. In 2017, Charles competed on the first season of “World of Dance” with the Kinjaz. Charles is currently working with the Kinjaz and is a KINstructor at the Kinjaz Dojo. He spends his days choreographing, teaching, performing, and creating music.
